Birch tree ring
Silver and gold birch tree ring with a faceted precious stone flush set into the piece. Three birch trees cut into silver and a stone to denote the turning of the seasons and the turning of the days. Diamond for winter; cool white days and frost covered ground. Green sapphire for spring, the sap rising in trees and green leaves and buds unfurling. London blue topaz is for summer; clear cloudless skies and deep blue sea, Orange garnet for Autumn, leaves falling, beautiful low light. I've cut three Birch trees into silver, enameled using a soft subtle grey opaque colour. Set into the sterling silver is a 1.5mm precious stone to choose from the list above. Birch trees are a symbol of growth and renewal. A 9ct gold bezel with gold claws surrounds the piece and the back and shank are sterling silver. Gold for the sun and silver for the moon. The silver is finished in a soft satin finish. Height measures approx 0.9mm Width approx 1.3mm Shank width approx 2.3mm The size of the faceted stones are 1.5mm. A tree ring, a tiny wood and a single star out in the night sky.
The ring is made from silver and the trees are 9ct gold. Each tree is hand cut and formed by myself.
The star is a diamond and is ethically sourced.
