Bird and stars necklace

Young birds imprint on the sun and the stars to help orient them.  The bird and stars necklace is inspired by birds that use the stars to navigate.  One bird and three stars surrounded by a silver bezel engraved with trees/leaf shapes. In the back a place to hide secret small things.  A thought on how do we find our way to things?  Navigate the right paths for ourselves? Hold our secrets and ourselves in the same place…

This one off piece is a statement piece of jewellery.  The cabochon shows a hand cut Bird filled with blue/black enamel, fired to deep glossy finish.  Flush set into the gold are 3 diamond ‘stars’, two are 1mm and one is 1.5mm. The piece is a oval shape approx 1.25cm in width, 8.8mm in height. On the back a small hollow with a gold oval door that opens to reveal a place for tiny things you want to carry to help navigate your way!

The bird and star cabochon is set into engraved silver bezel.  The gold represents the sun, the silver symbolizes the moon.

Finished in a soft matte.  Hallmarked at the London assay office.

100% recycled silver.  100% recycled gold. Ethically sourced diamonds.

Full moon and in the light a single tree stands. These one of a kind enamel pieces are the pages to where the stories begin. Each one is a unique, each one an original.  No two exactly the same. The enamel is layered and fired several times.  I hand paint each miniature onto the enamel.  The enamel is torch fired and the image becomes fused with the enamel creating a permanent image. The image is set in a soft rectangular box.  I wanted it to appear as though set, like a picture in a frame.  Look closely and you will see a 9ct gold shows just on the inside edge of the frame. All finished in a soft matte. This is a delicately small piece. Silver and gold studs
Skyscribble studs ~ silver and 9ct gold
Small soft edged square studs, lined with 9ct gold in the inner sterling silver frame and finished in a soft brushed matte. Inspired by cloudy skies, thinking of the days spent watching the skies overhead and time moving from sunlight to sunset.  These have small cloud abstract detail textured inside a square frame. The earrings are measured at approx 0.7mm in height and width, each is slightly asymmetrical. The earrings come with silver scroll back and come boxed and wrapped too. Please note that these pieces are made to order and may take up to 4 weeks to make and post. They also may have small variations in design detail although quality wont be compromised. Two shooting stars you can see any time (if you cross your eyes!) Best of all when its out the shooting star looks as though is has a tail. This delicate nose stud is silver. It measures approx 0.6cm across. Handmade and finished to a soft brushed matte. This star comes boxed and wrapped. Make time is up to 2 weeks. This nose stud also comes in gold.

Into the brambles ~ silver earrings
Delicate brambles, blossom and thorns hand cut into silver.  The blossoms on the front of the earrings are see through and from the back look like drops or tears. On every adventure there are obstacles to overcome.  Thick spiky brambles overgrown and in the way of the path ahead. A way must be found over, under or through! It is not possible to go backwards so forward it is.  Often it can be impossible to get through unscathed. However, a reminder that tears can turn to blossom too and fruit. Petite drop earrings measuring approx 1.2cm in height from the middle, from the edge approx 1.4cm Width approx 1.6cm Depth approx 1.0mm Finished in a brushed soft matte finish.
